If you're travelling around Australia, a good option is to chase the last bit of summer as it flees north. Cairns and Northern Queensland are nice, even when the rest of the east coast are getting cold and miserable. While you're there, here's a few things you can do!
Sydney is more than just the home of one of the most iconic buildings in the world. If you’re not a slouch, heading to Sydney for a few days, and want to see the sights without breaking the bank, here is an itinerary I use for my visiting friends. Seriously, how many of these articles does the internet need? Well I’m adding another just so you can compare my list with everyone else’s. Is mine better? Some would say so. It has something none of the others do; me. Here's my favourite things on the Great Ocean Road that I actually experienced.
Beautiful bays, wintry weather and one of Australia's favourite tourist roads. This is a travel diary of my solo drive along The Great Ocean Road, from Adelaide to Melbourne. This iconic stretch of road connects coastal towns along Australia’s southern coast. I have been really looking forward to sharing this with you. I hope you enjoy!!
To fill in some time before my next overseas trip, I want to see some more of Australia. I could go north, following the remnants of summer to test my newly acquired diving skills, walk along sandy beaches and stare at beautiful women enjoying the warm sun in the least wintry part of the country. Or I could go South, into the bitter, biting cold to freeze my unacclimated, lonesome ass off for several days and nights. South it is...The Great Ocean Road
From Bundeena to Otford is a 34 minute drive through the heart of the Royal National Park. The Australian bush, heavy with gum trees and scrub, hugs the winding road that has become popular with lycra-clad, city-dwellers riding expensive bikes. It is a peaceful, calming drive. If you’re a sucker for the outdoors and small amount of punishment, you’ll walk instead.
